Your Responsibilities:
Carrying out a fire risk assessment and conducting regular reviews – identifying hazards, dangerous substances and people at risk.
Ensuring good housekeeping –ensuing rubbish doesn’t build up, keeping fire exits and escape routes clear.
Implementing appropriate fire safety measures – evaluating, removing or reducing those risks and ensuring you have the correct fire-fighting equipment.
Devising an emergency plan and fire route.
Keeping others informed, fire safety instruction and training.
Including fire safety in any new premises or building renovation or extension plans (building control).
